Pitch

Motion is an art-driven magazine that blends design and storytelling to create a visually engaging experience. Every element was considered to give readers an insight into Brick Lane’s unique aesthetic, making it not just a magazine but a showcase of the culture behind it.

Concept

Motion Issue I is a magazine designed for the creative community of Brick Lane, focusing on alternative, vintage, and underground street style. It's built around a smooth reading experience, with sections that connect visually and thematically. The goal was to create a publication that feels immersive and cohesive while highlighting the artistic and cultural essence of the area. The name Motion reflects the fast-paced energy of London while allowing the magazine to expand into other creative neighborhoods without needing to change its branding.

Design & Process

I designed the entire magazine using InDesign, handling everything from layout composition to typeface selection. The visual identity was built around a structured yet experimental approach, ensuring the magazine felt dynamic but still easy to navigate. I worked with Illustrator and Photoshop to refine the imagery, adjust compositions, and create graphic elements that tied the pages together.
